Days of Service

Serving your community is an integral component of leadership development.  Leadership involves a demonstration of active participation and engagement in your community, and a desire to make a positive change.  The Department of Student Activities sponsors five annual community service projects on/around the UConn Hartford campus. Examples of projects include: food/toy drives, HuskyTHON, Hands on Hartford, Riverfront Recapture, and Service and Volunteer fairs.

Previous Days of Service events include:

  • A21 Walk – Walk Against Human Trafficking
  • Food Drive for Hands on Hartford food pantry
  • "Stuff a Cruiser" Toy Drive for the Boys and Girls Club of Hartford
  • HuskyTHON (see HuskyTHON page)
  • Campus-wide Service and Volunteer Fair with local non-profits and community based organizations
